The Writer
Mixed feelings surrounded me with writing, writing for school was never enjoyable to me yet most of my teachers thought I was very good at it. It started in sixth grade where I decided I would actually write this project how I wanted, we had to write about natural disasters I decided to make it from the viewpoint of the reporters covering them. My teacher loved it so much she wanted to keep it for an example and gave me an A++. I really didn’t expect her to like it so much, but I was glad and it did give my writer ego a boost for quite some time. I have never been much of a writer outside of school but this blog gives me an outlet, a place where I can put my thoughts down and edit them easily, pen and paper just seems so cumbersome sometimes.
If I am ever in a really bad mood sometimes I will just grab a pen and paper and start ranting, it helps get that anger out and then later I can come back with a clear head and look at my points objectively, was I being to hard, was it justified? There aren’t many times it happens but it has happened. Putting words into writing makes me examine them much more than if I hadn’t. One of my problems is going on tangents I aim to stay on topic and have a general goal but wind up going down paths that are related but not really relevant.
