Lately I have been very spread out, with some new help at work the load has been lighted and the stress taken down a notch. The web work is still going strong mostly in coldfusion but I am also working through asp.net trying to get a hold on it. Coldfusion has such an ease of use to it that it is hard to take the other route which is much more robust and powerful yet at the same time more work. There is so much to learn about asp and C# in general it can be overwhelming, but I am taking it piece by piece try to build up to the level I need to be at. There are only so many hours in a day and only so many of those hours can be spent learning and working, I need my downtime or else it just gets to be too much. I have taken my gaming down a notch trying to focus on other areas of my life that need attention, mainly day to day things like cooking cleaning and taking care of my dogs.

Back to work, starting off the new year in a new direction. I am no longer focused on coldfusion as my web programming language. I am still doing some side work with it and will continue to learn flash, hopefully diving in to some actionscript down the line. For now it will be buckle down time and study whatever I can get my hands on for C# and asp.net. My time with coldfusion was nice and I will still use it when I need to put together a web page fast. My posts won’t be that frequent any more and if they are they will probably be related to other areas of my life. Once I get a better grasp of what I’m learning I will start to post about that.

Welcome to my blog, this will be a place where i left outsiders in to see a glimpse of what im doing/dreaming of. I am a ColdFusion programmer by trade, but I went to school for game design. I have an associates’ of science in game design from FullSail University in Orlando, FL. I made the jump from games to web programming about 3 years ago, I still have a passion for games but enjoy working in the web industry more. Once I graduated high school I knew I wanted to be a programmer and followed the game design industry realizing it was a bit much for me. Web programming is more my pace and not so overbearing. I started off freelancing with coldfusion and then got the opportunity to join the iCan Group as their web programmer. Stay tuned to hear more about the projects I have worked on and will be working on.
